I've had several air purifiers and this Whirlpool AP45030K Whispure beats them all. It is so quiet and I love the fact that it does not need clearance in the back, but can be up against a wall. The sound is gentle and barely noticable on low.

This Whirlpool AP45030K Whispure Air Purifier is rated highly by Consumer Reports. It does not emit ozone like those electrostatic filters (such as the Ionic Breeze, which CR says emits way too much ozone). All good air filters are costly. The replacement filters are costly as well. Having purchased about 20 such products over the last 15 years, I like this the best.

We've had this Whirlpool AP45030K Whispure HEPA Air Cleaner for over a year now and it has worked very well. She has allergies and when they act up, she goes in the room with the filter and within 18 minutes, she feels much better, and can breath. I decided on this unit out of all the hundreds of air purifiers out there after doing some extensive research via Consumer Reports.

It's pretty quiet (especially on low) and not to heavy to move around. This unit is more expensive than a lot of other room air purifiers, but the money is well worth it since you get lots of purifying power, really quiet performance, minimal maintenance, and wonderfully allergen-free air.

Whirlpool AP45030K Whispure Air Purifier, HEPA Air Cleaner is not the smallest air purifier, but the size of the unit is directly proportional to the amount of filtered air it can churn out so I'll take a bigger unit any day. You do have to change the filters (1-2 years depending on use) which can be expensive but it's worth it for us.

Bottom line: if you're looking for a high-quality air purifier, you can't do better than this Whirlpool AP45030K Whispure Air Purifier, HEPA Air Cleaner! Don't waste your money on gimmicks which are everywhere in air filter products. Don't settle for a HEPA-Type tower (filtering only 99%.) Buy the biggest, most powerful HEPA/Charcoal 99.97% filter than you can afford. You'll be grateful that you did the right thing !!
